Dandino ($3.30) was unlucky to be balloted out of contention for the Group 1 Caulfield Cup last weekend but remains clear favourite in 2015 Geelong Cup betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Quest For More and Guardini ($7.50).

Will Dandino justify favouritism and win the 2015 Geelong Cup or will one of his talented rivals find the line in the clear?

Quest For More ($4.80)

Quest For More was first emergency for the Caulfield Cup last week and will now use the Geelong Cup as a final point of call ahead of a hopeful Melbourne Cup berth. A standout for Wiltshire trainer Roger Charlton this year, Quest For More ran second in a Newmarket minor over 2414m on May 3rd; progressing to success in each of the Lidsey Silver Anniversary Handicap (2816m) and Northumberland Plate (3236m) before running second in the Group 2 Goodwood Cup (3200m) most recently on July 30th. Charged with overcoming a wide draw, Quest For More should be given a sweet ride by jockey Tommy Berry.

Dandino ($3.30)

Dandino will relish a step-up in trip for the 2015 Geelong Cup and his class should carry him a long way towards success in the 2015 Geelong Cup. A standout through a brief Australian campaign during the 2013 Spring Carnival, Dandino ran a close second to Fawkner in the Caulfield Cup before placing a credible fifth in the Melbourne Cup. Having transferred to the care of Darren Weir for his current campaign, the Dansili gelding has placed eighth in the Group 1 Underwood Stakes (1800m) and fourth in the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) in his two most recent starts and appears primed for another big performance on Wednesday.

Sertorius ($13)

Consistent Geelong local Sertorius has taken a few runs to find form this time, but boxed on for a credible sixth in the Group 2 Herbert Power Stakes (2400m) last time and will enjoy the conditions of the 2015 Geelong Cup. Placed at Group 1 level several times through an impressive racing career so far, Sertorius returned this year for a close second in the Group 2 Blamey Stakes (1600m) before returning to winning form in the Group 3 Easter Cup (2000m) on April 4th. Charged with carrying a very manageable 56.5kgs, Sertorius will leave from the ideal barrier 5 in the Geelong Cup with Ryan Maloney aboard.
